Chère Madame P.,

Ever since I decided to learn French in grade 7, I had never once regretted it. I'm glad I took it in grade 11 because I knew I would have an enjoyable time learning French from you.
My speaking used to be my greatest weakness but you were able to help me turn it into one of my strengths, which I am grateful for. Although I was never a fan of PACT + VA, I was always happy to write an extended response in French as I knew that it would keeping getting better each time. I just want to show my greatest appreciation as to having you as my French teacher.
Merci beaucoup.

Dear Madame P.,

Thank you for the Wednesday lessons, which I am able to look forward to due to how genuinely fun yet interesting they are. I find that, in your classes, I am able to learn quite a lot, quite easily in the half-hour period. I have struggled with languages in the past, whether they be Japanese, Spanish or French. Yet, your style of teaching has allowed me to absorb and easily comprehend what is happening within the unit. Madame, thank you for everything.

Madame P.,

Merci beaucoup pour les deux dernières années !
I have really enjoyed French these last 2 years and am extremely grateful for the dedication and commitment you had for our class, making sure we always had what we needed to succeed and do our best.
I found our small class really beneficial to my learning, helping me build strong connections with everyone, and allowing me to improve my French skills. I'll miss our French lessons going forward, but I'll know you've helped me develop my French, which I'm sure will be invaluable in the future.

Bonne continuation !

Stephanie delivered French language lessons to employees of our company beginning May 30, 2007 and continuing until February 2009. She also provided written translation services for our company. We were forced to discontinue the lessons due to reductions in force in our Brisbane office.
Stephanie had twenty-four students in class size ranging from two to seven students. The range of capability was from beginner to advanced intermediate level. The lessons were arranged outside of normal business hours, which required Stephanie to be very flexible with her schedule. She was very professional and always started classes right on time.

Stephanie is an extremely accomplished language tutor. She arranged lessons and homework to be interesting and even fun so that we as students enjoyed learning and looked forward to class time. Her style was enthusiastic, engaging, encouraging and reinforcing. Another aspect that greatly enhanced her effectiveness was that she is a native French speaker from France but is also perfectly fluent in English having lived in Australia for several years. With this combination, she was able to effectively communicate important nuances of the language.

Given a French language tutor need in the future, I would call Stephanie first.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Stephanie for approximately 20 years, initially as a French tutor and later as a dedicated secondary school teacher at Brisbane Grammar School.
Throughout her career, Stephanie has consistently demonstrated exceptional teaching qualities. Her passion for the French language and culture is evident in every aspect of her teaching. I have had the privilege of collaborating with her to share ideas, resources and innovative approached to teaching and learning. These collaborative experiences have only deepened my admiration for her professionalism and dedication to her students.

Stephanie's commitment to her role extends beyond the classroom. She has been actively involved in creating assessments for the QCAA French senior syllabus. Her students have achieved outstanding results, a testament to her dedication and ability to inspire and motivate learners. Her thorough understanding of both junior and senior curricula is unparalleled, as she has worked tirelessly to align and integrate them effectively with her team.
In addition to her curriculum expertise, Stephanie's teaching approach is engaging and student centered. She fosters a supportive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring that all her students feel valued and encouraged to reach their potential.

I have known Stephanie since 2015 where she joined Brisbane Grammar School, firstly as a French Language Assistant and later when she became the Senior French teacher at the school teaching classes of Year 10, 11 & 12 students. During this time, I have had the opportunity to work closely with Stephanie and have greatly appreciated her advice, support and guidance with numerous French resources and assessment tasks.
Stephanie is multilingual in English, French and Spanish and would be an asset in any field requiring a highly competent language speaker. She is well organised, dedicated and diligent and capable of working individually or in a team. This is particularly essential when teaching senior classes as Stephanie was the only teacher for Years 11 & 12 French. Furthermore, at BGS, textbooks are no longer used so resources had to be created by the individual teacher. Stephanie not only created these but generously shared them with other language teachers. She is well versed and familiar with the QCAA French Senior syllabus.

I have also found her to be compassionate, caring and considerate of others. On many occasions, she has enquired about the wellbeing of students and has adapted her teaching to cater for their specific needs. In addition, she enquires about the wellbeing of other staff members and regularly checks in with other staff to ensure they are okay. As a person, Stephanie is sincere and sensitive with strong principles. Stephanie's passion and support for others are characteristics that define her personality. She is poised, confident, competent and is very personable.
